Talk Thelema: Gather

Resource: First Time Follow-up Letter

The first follow-up letter or email is one of the vital pieces of success for your group. This is especially important when you’re working with individuals outside the membership of your own organization. However, don’t sell it short, even for those who you see on a weekly or monthly basis. Reaching out to make that connection is important.

Given the times we live in and the convenience and expediency of email, we have formatted this sample letter as an email. However, we still encourage you to make this first letter something you send through the post, even handwritten if you wish to make an impression.

Here is a Microsoft Word version of this first letter for you to download and make your own.

Subject: Great to see you @ Talk Thelema
From: [Talk Thelema Coordinator]

Hi [add first name here],

It was great to see you on [day of week] at Talk Thelema. We hope your time with us was both relevant and meaningful to your experience of Thelema in your own life—and that you had a good time, too!

If you have some time this week, it would be great if you could reply to this e-mail or fill out our on-line survey at www.talkthelema.org/survey/ and let us know what you thought of your first time at Talk Thelema.

  • What were your impressions?
  • Did you feel welcomed and comfortable?
  • Was your first time at Talk Thelema a useful and/or meaningful experience?
  • Do you have any questions?

It means a lot to us to hear from those who have just come to Talk Thelema for the first time, so your input will be greatly appreciated.

Again … it was great to see you on [day of week]. I look forward to you joining us again at our next Talk Thelema on [date of next event].

Have a great week!
